A simple game with no plot to it what-so-ever. This 1 or 2 player game has you (and a friend) as two karate experts who are working their way to black belt status and earn lots of points.

Every 3 levels, there is a reflex test where you have to deflect balls using a shield but they get faster and faster as you progress.

Commodore 64 users rank this game one of the best ever on their machine. Is it the same for the CPC?

Graphics

MODE 0 graphics are used here, but they are so great. The background is animated nicely and the detail on the fighters are great. The animation is brilliant and fast. The PAUSE mode even has animation!

These are some of the best graphics the CPC has to offer

Sound

A nice track plays throughout the game and is quite nice. Great fighting sound effects and even sounds for the balls.

Gameplay

It?s easy to get into and there are lots of ways for you to beat your opponent. The reflex test with the balls is a nice touch and you just want to play again and again.

Overall:

This game deserves it?s God status. Despite the violent implimentations of the game, the fact you don?t die or kill anyone in this game makes it a good one. Lots of great stuff in it and there isn?t even a multi-load.

Brilliant!
