Copter 271 (Cartridge)

The aliens have invaded our planet and our military bases have been totally destroyed. You have volunteered to annihilate the invaders and you take-off on-board of the latest copter.

Graphics

Copter 271 has average graphics. While most of the spites are fairly well defined, I did expect more from a cartridge game. The display showing score and weapons is well drawn, but the main play area simplistic at best.

Sound

The sound is not a strong point. Very basic explosions accompany a standard helicopter sound. There are OK tunes available, but nothing to write home about.

Gameplay

Shoot-em-ups are generally fast-moving, with innovative graphics. I remember playing Truxton/Tatsujin for hours on my MegaDrive. That was fun. Unfortunately Copter 271 was just plain boring to me. Considering Copter 271 is a cartridge game, it?s a poor effort.
