Being a tale from the early years of Cuchulainn the hero in which Cuchulainn strives to free the charioteer from the timeless city of Dun Darach, wherein he is imprisoned by the sorceress Skarr.

A classic adventure from Gargoyle Games.

Graphics

Dun Darach will not win many awards for the most colours used in a game but my god it will blow you away in terms of animation and the attention to detail used by Gargoyle Games.

Characters walk past you and give you the chance to interact with them, buildings have items in the windows and clever names, the game doesn?t slow down for a second and the animation is some of the best we have ever seen in a CPC game.

Sound

Dun Darach sadly does not feature much of a soundtrack or music to listen to during or at the start of the game. We are only treated to a few bleeps here and there when you interact with other characters or objects in the game. Lucky for Gargoyle the game looks fantastic so you won?t be concentrating on this anyway.

Gameplay

This is our favourite type of adventure, rather than typing text and telling the character to move north and pick up objects we can actually see what is going on with superb graphics and awesome animation.

The developers really have pulled out all the stops with this title as it looks and plays superbly. If you like your adventures with a bit of graphics then this is one worth trying, fans of the classic text adventure may not feel this way though.

We say, grab it and play it now!
