Not intent with punishing us with the first batch of Crazy Cars game the boys over at Titus decided to release a third game and this time realy impress us with their skills. This time you can place bets on who is going to win the race and grab some serious cash in your illegal cross state racing activities.

Graphics

Released in 1992 you would expect some serious changes and major enhancements in the second sequel to the Crazy Cars series.

With a new front-end for placing bets before racing around the track and an almost widescreen gaming effect things look like they have been improved, that is until the game starts. Our Ferarri has been shrunk to fit the screen, the speed of the game has been reduced and while the information on-screen is much more informative the overall game is worse than ever.

This game was intended for the 16-bit audience but with a little time spent it could have looked a whole lot better on the CPC.

Sound

As we mentioned in the intro this game was released in 1992 yet the levels of sound have still not improved, but considering it was catering mainly for 16-bit platforms such as the Amiga and Atari ST we can almost let Titus off for this one. The only sound we hear are the typical engine noises while driving around the stages.

Gameplay

With the added option of placing bets on the racing put to one side the game is very similar to the other 2 in the trilogy in that you must race around the courses within the time provided, avoid oncoming traffic and as in the second title also avoid the police during your illegal street racing activities.

Despite being coded less than 15 years ago the game lacks that special something and remains a very average racer for the CPC.
