As I said in the original review I remember when the BMX was the biggest thing in the world and if you had one of these bikes you were classed as cool and despised by your friends. Codemasters did the clever thing and decided to cash in on the whole BMX racing thing with this the sequel to the first BMX simulator for your home computer, but was it worth buying and is it worth playing?

The idea is exactly the same only this time you can race with 3 of your friends instead of 2 to race against the computer in more BMX style racing tracks only this time instead of them taking place on a dirt track Codemasters take us into the fields for a play, isn?t that nice of them.

The real question remains the same, should you have paid the £2.99 back when it was released on budget or should it have been left on the shelf to rot with the other tapes? find out below.

Graphics

Even though this is the sequel and it has been improved since the last version the game itself remains more or less the same as the original.

The graphics are still great with even better drawn sprites and no hollow characters to be seen, the colour is also better than the original because Codemasters have taken us out into the fields and added a few highlights to the courses.

Sound

Like the original the sound is spot on with all the sounds you would like to hear and expect to hear in place, the music track has been changed completely and although its not as catchy as the original it?s still a very good track indeed.

Gameplay

Now the big thing is the gameplay, you can now select 3 of your best friends to race against or set them up as computer controlled players if you want to play all alone - thats great but the controls for keyboard users couldn?t be worse, for a start the shift key turns you left, Z turns you to the right and X makes the little man pedal faster - take a look at your keyboard and you?ll see what I mean. Other than that if you intend to use a joystick this game is better than the original and certainly worth playing.
