Now this is a crazy little game, for some reason you have been shrunken down into the size of an atom and placed inside an equally small armoured car in which you must destroy all the evil atoms that walk freely around this tiny new world causing havoc as they go.
It?s a good clean fun action game from Loriciels but you have to admit, it?s a little nutty.

Graphics

Atomic Driver is certainly a strange but pretty nice idea and has some great graphics on offer. Some would argue that the graphics in the game are too small but we say they are just right, after all the game is meant to look tiny as you yourself are merely the size of an atom. The strange village offers plenty of bright colours, nice looking atom enemies, plenty of power-ups to grab on the way around and is very well designed. This is one game that demands a little thought before just wandering around shooting things.

Sound

The introduction music on this game is pretty up-beat and makes you feel good, something we like to hear in classic games. It?s also not overly looped unlike some other music in games and doesn?t get on your nerves half as fast, the in-game sounds are also on top form with everything from explosions, shots, brick busting and power-ups given a good sound you couldn?t ask for much more from Loriciels.

Gameplay

Gameplay is pretty great too, okay for the first 5 minutes you have no idea what to do and it?s not easy to find your car amound the bright colours but once you get the hang of it it?s pretty nice and addictive. The idea is to blast as many of those atoms as you can while clearing the blocked paths as you go, sort of like a high class Pacman title with gun shots and explosions thrown in for good measure.
Some people on the other hand may find the game boring and completely see the opposite that we do, it?s certainly been said in the past but we suggest you at least give this game a go before passing judgement.
