Synopsis:
From beyond the edges of darkness evil incarnate is back. He is Mogul, master of all the fears and nightmares of mankind. As a world trembles in sleepless terror, a single warrior emerges - you are Turrican.
Battle through the five worlds of darkness encountering thunder and storm, mechanical monsters, hidden rooms, awesome end of level guardians, reptillian beasts, and anywhere...the unexpected!

Cheat Mode
keypress
On Turrican 1 press H to pause and type VON . The title screen should reappear and when you start again, you will have 99 of everything (lives, weapons etc.) Thanks to Chris for the cheat. - submitted by Malc (CPC Zone Staff)

At address 04F0 poke 00 for infinite vitality

keypress
Grab yourself a high-score and instead of your name, type WIMPON. The screen will flash indicating that the cheat is now activated. - submitted by dlfrsilver

"Meh. It's hardly the "best 8-bit version" - that honor goes to the original, on the C64. This version has too-large sprites, bad collision detection, and EXTREMELY unresponsive controls. The CPC's ultra-bright palette doesn't do it any favors, either. If anything, it's the WORST 8-bit version. This game is best played on the C64 - no port can hold a candle to it."

"It doesn't get much better than this, Best 8-bit version. Looks far better than the C64 version, which features weak looking sprites and an uninspiring colour palette... don't get me wrong, its not a smooth as the C64 version and the animation and music isn't as good, but the Amstrad version still features good 8-way directional scrolling with a well thought out colour palette and quick responsive controls. The C64 version is too easy in my opinion, something C64 owners of course will never admit too."

"Overshadowed by it`s superior sequel though not by much as this too is a superb piece of work. Any CPC gamer who likes some good shooting and platformer has to have both Turrican games."
