Cycle The Month Challenge for Prostate Cancer UK - an appeal

I appreciate that this is massively off topic on a forum for a retro computer. Please hear me out. This is something that likely impacts a large proportion of the users here that like me grew up with the Amstrad CPC...

In the month of August I'm aiming to cycle at least 100 miles during the month in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. One in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime, and it's the UKs third biggest cancer killer. But it doesn't have to be this way. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research for men and their families affected by the disease.

I've recently got back in to cycling to help improve my general health. Often riding 40 odd miles on a weekend. As I start to fall in to the demographic most impacted by this awful disease it seems like a no brainier to put these miles and effort to another good use.

What your money goes towards?
Your donations will help fund vital research into better tests to save lives. Just £100 could cover the cost of analysing six blood samples to help researchers find new ways to identify aggressive prostate cancer.

This will help men with advanced disease be diagnosed sooner.
