Just took this photo and thought I should share it here like proof that I do own a CPC and have done for about 3 decades.  Never had a single technical problem with it and still works perfectly.  Built to last. :)
And underneath on the keyboard tray bit of the desk is my also quite trusty Amiga 1200.

(i dunno why I brought a RoboCop in here with me... would be great to have had both the CPC and Amiga RoboCop games running but I don't actually own either of them on real media to load into them, just the emulated files).

Oh and I won that Speedball 2 match 44-2.    8)    (actually if you zoom in you can see the score and know I ain't lying  ;D )

Always really nice to see people's setups :)

Also, 44-2 means nothing, most versions included a trainer :D

I know, I wasn't implying anything :D Was just saying, a photo doesn't prove much since I've achieved scores better than that, with my whole team beefed up thanks to a trainer ;)

(Hey, this article is more interesting than expected)

Not sure my setup would fit in a single photo. Currently from left to right it's aligned up as follows.....

In the plugged in and working section are:

MacPro, Raspberry Pi (in a Fuze case), MacBook Pro, Amstrad 6128plus and finally Schneider cpc6128.

Under the desk, working but not connected:

PowerMac G5 (2ghz dual core), spare 6128plus and Amstrad cpc6128

In the loft and boxed: Pcw 9512+

Recently sold (and slightly missed): 2 Amiga 1200 machines

That's it except for the plethora of consoles. But those are another story.

Craig.

Ah, the Fuze case. Very nice, but extremely expensive!

I saw on Etsy some 3D-printed Amiga- and 2600-styled cases... :)

I thought about using a spare 6128plus chassis I had lying around. But it needs some *major* retrobrite work and then finding a USB keyboard to fit the hole was a challenge. I wanted something hard wearing and nicely compact. So the fuze it was. My other pi is behind the telly in the lounge in a 3d printed box case running xbmc (openelec)

So trainers are those menus and options that appear on cracked games saying things like "Infinite Lives Y/N"?
This is the real official Speedball 2 game disk from the real official Speedball 2 box. :P

@CraigsBar : why not just a simple case with a remote keyboard instead? Much cheaper, more compact...

@Carnivac : I had a couple of originals for my ST with trained versions written over them ;)

Well I'd still need a breadboard, and mouse, and the power, HDMI and lan cables all leaving the pi on different side is a mess! The fuze is IMHO a neater tidier solution as all the cables leave from the back of the case and an breadboard is just there on top if the pi is to be used as a computer. A small case is ideal for xbmc.

Ah, you need a breadboard, ok.

And yeah, those cables coming out from all sides are a pain in the arse indeed...

this CPC would be as much powerfull as the Amiga with the addition of an X-MEM...  ::)

oh wait, it is an Amiga1200 ? then the CPC would be twice much powerfull... with an X-MEM though.
