In November 1985, Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. and the Epson Corporation merged to form Seiko Epson Corporation.

The Seikosha brand name is found in Amstrad DMP1 printer (seen on its PCB).

Later Amstrad Printers were Epson-compatible (and accordingly, were probably made by that company...?).
