Maxam '''MAXAM''' is a popular assembler [[Assembler]] for the CPC, made by the British company [[Arnor]].
Maxam came i three variantsIt was available in 4 versions:Tape, Disc, ROM, and Cartridge (the latter one being the ROM version bundled with a [[AD1 ROM Cartridge]]).
* [[Maxam 1.14]] Assembly language programs could be entered either using the built-in editor, or 'inline' in a BASIC program (ROM and disc versionin a similar fashion to that permitted by the BBC Micro), editor and Assembler)* [[then assembled by Maxam 1.5]] (ROM version, Assembler only)* [[Maxam II]] (A CP/M disc version)
The program also contained a disassembler plus a number of simple memory management and debugging tools, such as a hex editor and graphical memory overview.
