== Information Plot =={|width: 700px; font-size: 2em;|Title:|| Into Oblivion|-|Company:|| Mastertronic|-|Type:|| |-|Year:|| 1986|-|}Following the destruction of the evil computer that once ruled this galaxy you must seek the only safe planet to avoid the erratic droids (the evil computers leftover servants) who have been programmed to obliterate you. With 2,500 screens your task is not easy, however, if you do not succeed you will be blown into oblivion by the droids.
== CPCGameReviews Gameplay =={| class="wikitable" style="font-style:italic; font-size:90%; border:1px dotted black;"|-|+Into Oblivion|- valign="top" border="1"|rowspan=2 valign="middle"| |After destroying You control the computer on the planet Nonterraqueous, our hero must now escape and find a planet that offers safety - but there are 42 planets in this system, and he can't simply fly from one planet to another one of his choice. Instead, there is a complicated transportation network with lots of connections between them. If youSeeker MK II're thinking that this sounds boring, it certainly is! The graphics are awful, and so is the music - although it can be turned off. There is very little scenery, and one section of a planet looks much like another. There are also aliens which fly around the planets, but they are no real threat. You'll need to make a map or you'll become hopelessly disoriented, but the game is so boring that you won't want to make the effort |- style="font-style:italic; font-size:150%; border:1px dotted black; border-bottom:1px solid grey;"|align="right"|Rating 2|-|From CPCGameReviews|-|}== Game Play ==You control a small vehicle around which allows for exploration of the various screens. Joystick or keyboard can be usedon each planet. There are various hazardous life forms about (erratic / unpredictable droids and a primitive race of human-like creatures) which you can destroy with your unlimited supply of laser beamslasers. Space craft Spacecraft exist which can take you to other planets. Be aware of where you have been as it is very easy to get lost- you are going to need a map. Scattered around are various objects to keep that have a certain purpose. Some allow further game progression, others give you amusedextra lives. You only have 9 lives and you will need them as there are 42 planets and 2500 screens! Make sure you have collected enough 'Psyche' units (over 90) and transport them to the legendary 'Safe Planet' in order to complete the game. Will you make it or will the droids blow you into oblivion?. Joystick or keyboard can be used. Good luck!

== Ties with Previous Games ==* According to the "Aim of the Game" text on the reverse side of the inlay, this game follows on from Nonterraqueous 2 (Soul of a Robot) (after the destruction of the evil computer).* In this game you must actually collect 'Psyche' - in the previous Nonterraqueous games, you already have 'Psyche'.* There are 42 planets to explore, in Nonterraqueous there were 42 levels to explore.* You control the 'Seeker MK II' - the original 'Seeker' was in Nonterraqueous* One of the planets is named Nonterra. ==Critical reception==Amstrad Action gave Into Oblivion an overall rating of 70%, highlighting the large number of screens and the exploration and mapping required to find the safe planet. However, the gameplay was criticized for the lack of excitement from obstacles and enemies. == Media ==<gallerycaption="Into Oblivion">image:Into Oblivion Cassette.jpg|image:IOCassette.jpgimage:IO_Inlay_Full.jpgimage:IO_Inlay_Reverse_Full.jpg
