Switchblade on Cartridge is a slightly PLUS enhanced version of the CPC version.

Considered decent and good by most Amstrad fans.

Plus Features

Switchblade is one of the rare PLUS Cartridge game to remain in Mode1 (perhaps the only one indeed).

Yet the PLUS extra features were quite decently inplemented.

• Addition of Raster colour changes for the sky (see pictures) to get a sweet Red gradiant.

• Hardwired sprites used to just add extra colours as background tiles.

While raster colour changes were already implemented on CPC version to colour the HUD, they were used on cartridge version for the game's window instead, a quite uncommon feature in an Amstrad Game.

The Games engine seems to be re-used for Striker in the Crypts of Trogan/Stryker and the Crypts of Trogan (yes, this one has 2 pages...lol) as the same guy did both games.
